For many moons now, I’ve been participating in a creative endeavor I call my 365 Project. I find it an interesting exercise in cultivating the ability to notice subtle details in my surroundings, and to present mundane aspects of my everyday life in interesting ways. I’ve also found it a good way to hone my basic photography skills, and to override the inner critic.

The rules are simple. Every day for a year, I post one selfie to Facebook. When I first noticed a few other courageous souls doing this, I wasn’t sure I was up to the task. I spent a lot of time looking at photos that other 365 Project participants had posted, gathering courage and ideas.

I’m currently in Year No. 5, and I’m having a lot of fun with it. I have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
